One Good Day or One Good Week

2 min read

Before we die.

Try to have one good day or one good week.

That's insulting, I know.

One good day or one good week? In an entire lifetime?

Are you out of your mind?

That is what you are thinking.

I used to be insane.

But not anymore.

I'm much more mentally strong, mentally stable, and functioning compared to when I lived in Atlanta.

Try to have 1 good day or 1 good week.

Take photos and videos.

You can use your phone to do that.

You don't have to do anything too fancy.

It is evidence that you existed in this world.

It is proof that you had good moments in your life.

It wasn't all bad.

Someone has it worse than you.

That's a common quote. A friend of mine said to me many years ago.

I was so depressed I didn't care at all about that quote.

The quote is divisive.

I'm not dismissing, ignoring, or minimizing other people's suffering, sadness, tragedies, and difficult circumstances.

Not at all.

In a perfect world, we wouldn't have suffering.

But it can give you another perspective.

The person you are thinking of whoever they are- and you may not even know them, but they have unbelievable suffering that would destroy you and other people. And it has.

Well, at least you have some good things in your life.

Capture a good moment in your life.

Eating a good meal.

Watching a movie in the theater.

Listening to good music you enjoy.

Having a good time with family or friends.

Family photos or photos of friends in general.

You had people who care about you and love you.

Photos of plain but pleasant things.

You experienced peace.

A pleasant birthday celebration.

A good grade from school.

A teacher or professor who said something kind about you or praised you.

A kind letter or message written by someone towards you.

A sports event.

One good day or one good week.

It wasn't all bad.

There was something good.

There was light in the darkness.

The more good days and good weeks you have, that is great.

If you had good months and years, that is amazing.

Wishing peace, happiness, change, and perseverance to anyone who reads this.
