HBO Shows

I watched The Wire in late 2024 and finished it in 2025. I started watching The Sopranos this year, 2026. Shortly after watching Sopranos, I started watching Oz.

I'm not done with Sopranos or Oz yet. I have a lot going on in my life.

Oz, has nothing to do with Wizard of Oz. It's a hardcore prison show. It is the first great HBO show. But because it is HBO and it is prison, the show is brutal.

I could write a lot about my thoughts on The Sopranos and The Wire. Both are excellent but for different reasons.

HBO proved with Oz, The Sopranos, and The Wire that they were different. They had uncensored, hardcore shows with graphic content, but they were also thought-provoking and well written.
