Accept that Most Things in Life are Out of Our Control
Most things in life are out of my control.
95% of things in life are out of my control.
Many parts of life are not fair.
That is what I believe.
And I want you to believe the same thing.
We cannot control what other people think about us, what other people say, the violence and other crimes that happen to people, the government, other countries' governments, the weather, natural disasters, completely preventing diseases, the past, the future, unexpected events, and death.
Unexpected events are called that for a reason. Because no one thought it would happen. But it did.
We are all going to die one day.
Try to live the best you can every single day.
I've read real life stories of people who died from a random heart attack or a random stroke. Very young people who had heart attacks or strokes.
You have to accept that most of life is out of your control.
I had severe obsessive compulsive disorder for 5 years 2016 to June 2021. I talk about this all the time.
I learned this the hard way.
95% of things in my life are out of my control. That applies to everyone.
Some of the most important solutions to heal, recover, and overcome obsessive compulsive disorder is to accept uncertainty, the past is finished, the future is unknown and unpredictable, most of life is out of an individual's control, and we are all going to die one day.
There is no 100% certainty in life.
There is uncertainty in everything.
I can't fight my thoughts. That is insanity.
I can't solve my thoughts.
I can only solve problems that exist in reality.
Fighting my thoughts endlessly is insanity.
Nothing is solved by fighting my thoughts.
All my worries, fears, and thoughts are my imagination.
They only exist in my mind. They don't exist in reality.
My worries, fears, and thoughts don't exist right now.
If I think something in my mind, it will not immediately become reality.
If human beings' thoughts immediately became reality, this planet Earth would be destroyed and all of humanity would be extinct a long time ago.
Because the disturbing things that people think about intentionally and unintentionally would cause the destruction of all of humanity.
